Artist is Paul Stier, who is an Alameda resident, and principal and co-founder of a furniture business (not in Alameda). The family used to own Stier’s pharmacy on Webster Street. Buildings and landmarks drawn include the neon sign for the taqueria on Alameda Ave (formerly Ramiro & Sons, since 2025 Taqueria Mi Burrito) and Stier's, the Hornet, St. Barnabas and St. Joseph's Catholic churches, the Alameda Theatre, 2070 San Jose Ave, Croll's, Alameda Beach, a jet, Lucky 13 (1301 Park St.), Tucker's, a sign for Skippy, the news stand on Park Street, Ole's Waffle Shop, the fence of Lincoln Park, a Rodgers Trucking truck, the Fruitvale Ave Railroad Bridge and Miller-Sweeney bridge, Jack London's boat Snark, the Encinal station building at the corner of Encinal and High (1303 High Street), the Posey Street Tunnel entrance, a lion, and a tudor style home.
