Date or Period: 1914-1917 Object: ashtray, painted Description: Bulbous glass jar, painted on the inside with purple paint with white squiggles, and lid with three indentations that can hold cigarettes. No markings. Some of the paint has worn off. Size: diameter 3 1/2 inches, height 2 1/4 inches. History: ash tray found in a drawer of a desk, which was once stood in the Hall of the Knights of Pythias, on Oak Street. Desk was bought by William Chun, and moved to storage in the 1970s, where it got eaten by rats. Acquired from: Ted R. Chun on behalf of Bill Chun Service Cataloged: 10/25/2020
