Description: A rectangular-shaped aluminum speaker with an attached hanging arm. The front of the speaker has a circular-shaped grill with the embossed caption "Koroff". Below this grill is a metal button that was used to control the speaker's volume. Above the speaker is a rectangular panel with the engraved word: "Island". Remnants of the attached cords are present, with black overlay covering.
Size: L-8 x W-5 inches.
History of Object: A speaker from the Island Drive-in Theatre of Alameda, which ceased operation in the late 1970's.

Used by the Island Drive-in Theatre that was located on the east side of Webster St. below Atlantic Ave. It ceased operation in the early 1980's.
This speaker would be placed above the driver's open car window, enabling the passengers to hear the movie being shown on the giant screen.
