Lining has an embroidered label sewn in at back at shoulder height, with text: Exclusive Furrier, Marie Anne, Alameda, Calif, and a small crown. Size: diameter 3 1/2 inches, height 2 1/4 inches. History: Fur coat worn by Concepcion Sahagun (nee Navarro, 1896-1980), grandmother of the donor. The coat was made by Maria Ana Guerra Quinones Guerra (1900-1972), who came to the Bay area with her first husband, painter Albert Quinones (1884-1938) in 1931. Both buyer and seller were originally from Mexico. After her husband's death, Maria-Ana moved to Alameda, 1620 / 1622 Encinal Ave. She was involved in the Professional and Business Women's Association.
