At the lower left hand corner is affixed a gold company seal with ribbons of red, grey & black. It has been signed by the chairman for the directors and the president for the officers, of the Fidelity and Deposit Company, in the lower right hand comer, Size, 16½x21½ inches.
History of Object: Certificate presented to Herbert D. Clark, from the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, awarded to him for loyal services since 1907, issued June 25, 1938. Mr. Clark and father were pioneer insurance agents in Alameda.
