No. 24.59.1 A-M Subject Category: History of Alameda Date or Period: 1990s Object: papers Description: A set of 13 stapled photocopied pages, each having the word ‘Reel’ and a sequence number in green marker, the first stating additionally: ‘SAMPLE PAGES FROM MICROFILM - “Historical Records”’ and ‘(16 mm)’ Size: L 11 by W 8 1/2 inches. History of Objects: transcripts of historical records, pertaining to Alameda history, apparently on microfilm of an unknown origin, but possibly the 1940s WPA Writer’s Project. Current location of these reels is unknown. There are references which appear to include a number of names, Walker, Hall, Graydon, Newcomb, Beavis, Hunter, and dates, ranging from the end of the 19th century until 1941. Needs more research.
