Description: Bound volume in red and brown colored leather, accentuated with gold.The spine of each record states: "Assessment Book", the year, and "Town (later "City") of Alameda". Each year's record comes with a supplemental volume labeled "Delinquent Assessor's Roll". All entries are hand-written on a printed form.

History of Object: Assessment records for the City of Alameda listing property owners in alphabetical order, legal descriptions of their real property (and indicating whether improvements have been made upon said property), certain personal properties, and the assessed value of all of the foregoing for taxation purposes. (Note: The Delinquent Assessor’s Roll volume is the final volume in each year's set.)
