Description: Acid-free legal size manila file folder with documents, either on stationery of a Chamber of Commerce (Alameda, but in one case, Oakland), or addressed to the Alameda Chamber of Commerce.

History of Object: Documents found in the attic of City Hall prior to renovations in the 1990s. Documents were originally housed in a folder (now discarded) labelled “Chamber of Commerce 1936” and held together with a metal clip (also discarded). Correspondence from Alameda CoC secretary Mrs. Iva Dean Myers, and City Managers B. Ray Fritz and Chas. R. Schwanenberg. Topics include International Youth Week, a Yacht Harbor, election re Naval Base, and a dinner in honor of congressman Albert E. Carter.
