Description: Bills, on white, pink, tan, or blue paper, labeled top right, 'To Peoples Water Company, Dr.' and where a tear-away stub is present, added 'Artesian Building, 1412 Park St., Alameda'. The addressee is mimeographed as G.B. Fitch, oldest at 1808 Lafayette, from 1914 at 1809 Willow St.

History of Object: Collection of monthly bills for the Fitch family, at two different addresses, from the Peoples Water Company, successor to the Artesian Water Works, which would eventually be merged into EBMUD. The bills appear to alternate in color, presumably to aid recipients in remembering which bills still had to be paid.
