Description: Full length robe or christening jacket of cream colored nun's veiling with silk embroidered edging & flowers, lined with China silk. Attached to the front of the garment is a gold & enamel pin (crescent shaped) accentuated with seed pearls.
History of Object:
Baby robe which was originally worn by the late Kathleen Edwards (born Alameda-1905), daughter of Oliver & Gisela Haslett, old-time residents of Alameda. Mrs. Edward donated her father's high wheel bicycle to the museum.
