Object: Magic Lantern Advertising Slide for Bay Shore Club Masquerade Ball
Description: Glass plate color “Magic Lantern” advertising slide for the Bay Shore Club's 11th annual Masquerade Ball at the Encinal Hall, October 31, 1914. The edges of the slide are wrapped in black tape, resembling book binding tape. Three costumed images are shown on black and light blue, vertically striped, round background. A harlequin is reading a book to an unidentified character. A smiling, blond woman, in a black and white clown costume, is standing behind them.
The bottom, left hand corner has a severe crack and is in danger of breaking off. Another crack starts about halfway up on the left side and continues through the clown's left hand and arm. Made by California Film Exchange.
