Description: Cast plaster & papier-mache rooster (in fanciful colors) supported by tin claws. The head can be removed revealing an empty body cavity (for the storage of candy). The object is unsigned, but appears to be of European in origin. Possibly German?

History of Object: Ornate Easter rooster candy container which originally belonged to Eleanor Clark, member of an old time Alameda family.
