Description: Acid-free legal size manila file folder with documents, marked on the reverse with a number in black ink, from 701 to 750.
History of Object: Correspondence with the Board of Trustees, found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s, and refoldered in 2012. The original folder was marked '701-750' on the folder tab. Documents in this folder include or pertain to: earthquake fall-out, such as the poundmaster seizing a horse, which new residents unknowingly grazed on an unopened street, problems with ticket supply at the Southern Pacific, patrolling by the Citizens Protective Association, dispute about a new resident's foster dogs killing turkeys on the Cohen estate; kinks in ordinance regarding rebuilt or repaired chimneys, suggestion of a new insurance clause, Dr. Hamilton suggested as replacement for the Board of Health, since he could not practice in S.F., after Dr. Pond declined. In addition, police officer Jos Lawrence requesting the pension he was entitled to, but for which there were no provisions, and issues about publishing the proposed charter.
