Description: This is an ordinary two wheel bicycle made of cast iron.
The handle bars and the brake were originally nickel plated. It has ivory grip handles and leather covered seat. The foot pedals are white rubber. The brass name shield name plate affixed with two screws to the main support shaft, which states "Royal Mail", Read & Son, Boston, (This was an American Distributor for the English Company).
Size: It stands 5’ from the floor. It is 26½" from the floor to the main axle. The diameter of large front wheel is 54". The small back wheel is 17" in diameter.
History of Object: This is an old highboy bicycle (high Wheeler) owned and ridden by Oliver C. Haslett in 1883. He belonged to a bicycle club of about twenty members that rode this type of bicycle,
