Letter is dated August 18, 1976. Also includes impressed seal. Size: L 14" X W 8 1/2" B. Off-white Envelope, addressed in blue ballpoint pen to Mrs. Edith McGinnis, 2414 Marti Rae Ct., Alameda. Envelope also has image of rider and reptile, in black, and is post-stamped Philadelphia, 9 Sep 1976, with location for stamps cut off. Has additional writing in black ballpoint pen: Lodge instituted Golden Poppy - Dec 14, 1922 Size: L 4" X W 9 1/2" History of Subject: Letter informing Mrs. McGinnis, president of the Alameda Lodge, that the Order of the Daughters of St. George is disbanding, as a result of the lodges of the main officials disbanding leaving no viable organizations in the seat of the non-profit, Ohio.
