Booklet is titled ‘A Word War II Family Story and Enduring Love, 1941-1946’. Written by James Noble Walton, 2017, 2019 Revised Edition. Size: L 11 x W 8 1/2 inches History of Object: Story of the WWII activity of Alameda native and resident James Winfred Walton (1919-2014), initially as civilian (1939-1942), and the start of his marriage (1942) to fellow Alameda High School graduate Jean Simm Mundie (1920-2006) during WWII. He attained rank EM1/c, Electrical Mate first class Petty Officer. Booklet includes a reprint of a photo outside Mundie’s parent’s home at 818 Haight (with partial view of 819 and 821 Haight Street.). The pair raised 2 children and were active in Alameda Clubs (Scouting, Masons, Easter Star, Adelphian Club, Golf Club) until their respective deaths. Donor: James N.
