Possibly of Chinese origin? These baskets, tied with leather straps, were sometimes used as suitcases for traveling, as well as household storage. Size : L-21 x W-12 X H-10 inches. History of Object: Basket from the Neil & Maude Macdonald residence, 2066 San Jose Avenue. They were old-time residents of the city. Acquired from: Museum Acquisition Fund Date: 2-10-1990
