Description: Hand colored photo with double paper mat in gray and off-white colored paper. The portrait is contained in an ornate caste gesso frame which has a black-colored background accentuated with gold. The frame also includes two underliners of red colored plush and gilded cast gesso.
Size: L-26” x W-23 1/2”
History of Object: Formal photographic portrait of Robert McKeever, father of Maude McKeever Fenn. She and her husband Ernest purchased 2038 Alameda Avenue in 1922 and occupied it until the end of their lives. Robert McKeever was never a resident of Alameda, but his portrait hung in his daughter's home.
