Includes waver signed by the Alameda participants, Lorene E. Misener and Ann Rodgers, who participated with an aircraft dubbed 'The City of Alameda' and sponsored by the City. The plane took of from NAS to go to the starting point of the race. Other documents show the mayor's office (Mayor Frank Osborn) wrote to various mayors of cities en-route to arrange hospitality.
