On the second page is a print-out of a building. Size: L-11 x W-8 1/2 inches. History of Object: Story by Jim Stallman, regarding a stick-style high basement cottage constructed by A.R. Denke, at 1520 Grand Street for Arthur F. Green, time keeper for the Pacific Mail Steamship Company. The building was near a church, originally Unitarian Church, but by 1976, owned by the Calvary Christian Church, which wanted a parking lot instead of the old house. The Victorian Preservation Society (later Architectural Preservation Society) saved the building and had it moved to 418 Santa Clara. Also mentions the finding by AVPS member Bob Brewer, a local dentist, of a 1876 Centennial celebration milk bottle underneath the brick foundation on Grand Street.
