History of Object: Folder with documents found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s. Documents in this folder pertain to 1923 complaints about a group of eucalyptus trees near the intersection of Fountain and Jackson Streets, including a petition with photos, which was referred to Wm. J. Locke, City Attorney, C.E. Hickok, City Manager, and A.C. Benton, Superintendent of Dept. of Recreation (75-1).; a complaint by John P. Tibbets about two pepper trees in front of his house at 2115 San Jose Ave, with annotation that it be referred to Winkler who will trim trees, by ACB (75-3); and to a complaint by the Taxpayers League of Alameda, 1541 1/2 Santa Clara Ave., about levying of money for elementary schools, on letterhead stating Alameda, the Airport City of the World, with reply by W.E. Varcoe, City Clerk (75-2).
