Description: Picture hat of imitation black colored straw with applied variegated pink to deep rose petal silk flowers. Leaves in pale green. Flowers attached from crown to under brim. Has black silk velvet ribbon around crown with bow at back.

History of Object:
Hat worn by Polly, wife of Bert Carrington. Mr. Carrington was involved in many civic activities in the city, and the two were longtime residents of the Fernside district of Alameda.
