DESCRIPTION:
PADDLE OF AN UNKNOWN SPECIES OF WOOD; SINGLE PIECE. THE PADDLE HAS A NARROW HANDLE, WHICH GRADUATES TO A LESSER DIMENSION.
SIZE: APPROXIMATELY 24" LONG.
HISTORY OF OBJECT:
PADDLE USED TO REMOVE BREAD FROM THE OVENS OF THE FRENCH BAKERY, WHICH WAS LOCATED AT 1416-1420 PARK AVENUE IN ALAMEDA. THE "ALAMEDA JOURNAL" WAS LATER LOCATED IN THE BUILDING. THE PADDLE IS ONE CONTINUOUS PIECE OF WOOD, REDUCING IN SIZE TO THE HANDLE.
