History of Object: Trophy from an early Neptune Beach swimming competition, won by champion swimmer Leo Purcell, who later would open a swimming school in Alameda, Leo's Plunge.
The cup was acquired by a former Board member in an online auction from Tina A. Maguire from San Francisco. The connection between Tina and Leo is unknown at this time.
The cup was on loan the museum and on display in its current location prior to 2015, but was officially donated on 12/18/2015.
