History of Object: Card containing various theatrical poses of the child actress Eugenia Clinchard, of Alameda, Calif.
The following items are known as the Eugenia Clinchard collection. Donated to the museum by Genie (Eugenia) Clinchard Horton, former child star of stage & silent pictures who was born in Alameda in 1906 and attended school here (Glen Taylor & Alameda High School). Her father Fred B. Clinchard was employed by the Alameda Post Office for 35 years. Miss. Clinchard starred in several silent films made in Niles, California, with G. M. Anderson (Broncho Billy), an early cowboy star of the Essanay Company.
