Description: A composition book comprising black covers with white lined pages. The front cover shows an army of Spanish "conquistadors" and the words "Balboa School Series Composition Book No. 1128" imprinted below, all in a lt. green ink. Pasted upon the inside pages are newspaper and magazine clippings, business and enclosure cards, correspondence - a few pieces of which are loosely inserted between the pages.
Size: L-8 1/4 x W-7 in.
History of Object: A scrapbook containing the business and professional highlights of the Spencer and Stolte photographic studio in Alameda. Of particular interest is material dealing with the studio's occasional participation in photographic salons in the U.S. and Europe, and often garnering awards for same.
