Description: Printed receipt for with information blanks filled out with sepia colored ink by hand. The lower left hand corner has a U.S. revenue stamp.
Size: L 6 1/2 W 7 3/4 inches.
History: Official receipt of fee payment possibly concerning land in Alameda made out to Wm. Horst and dated February 25, 1868. Mr. Horst was born in Germany in 1847 and died in Alameda in August of 1924. He came to Alameda in 1867 and lived at 900 Santa Clara Avenue and was the owner of a grocery store.
Given in 1956 and never catalogued.
