The tube has its original japanned finish and the top of the cylinder has a handle with a wooden grip attached to a pipe that also has a wooden grip handle for the pumping mechanism. The tube has a label that reads, "Quick Work Cleaner". Size: L-55” History of Object: This vacuum came from 2229 San Antonio Ave., which was built in 1887 for the Burton E. Combes family.
