No. 82.60.11 Subject Category: Easter decoration Date or Period: C. 1912 Object: Figurine (candy container) Description: A cast plaster-of-Paris egg wrapped in blue colored tissue paper trimmed with silk flowers & gauze supports a rabbit head (with human features) in cast wax. The head can be removed revealing an empty egg which can be used for the storage of candy. Unsigned, it appears to be of German manufacture. History of Object: Wax face Easter figurine originally belonging to Eleanor Clark (as a child), member of an old time Alameda family. Acquired from: Eleanor Clark Date: 12-18-82
