Description: Hand written letter on stationery with heading in ornate lettering "Alameda High School, Principal's office." Envelope with matching heading.
Size: (letter) L-8 1/2 x W-5 1/2 inches, (envelope) L-3 1/2 x W-6 inches.
History of Object: Letter addressed to Mrs. T. A. Eisfeldt, 2070 Clinton Avenue, Alameda, from George C. Thompson, principal Alameda High School. In the letter Mr. Thompson suggests the binding of the music Mrs. Eisfeldt had given to the school. He also states that it be known as the "Eisfeldt Collection."
Mrs. Eisfeldt had given to the school her father-in-laws (Wm. Theodore Eisfeldt) collection of orchestra music. Mr. Eisfeldt was a professional musician and arranger.
