Description: a hardbound book with black buckram cover, with title embossed in gold type on the front: ‘Block Book Index / City of Alameda. Inside are 12 maps drawn in blue in off-white paper, with city blocks drawn in, titled ’Index Book 69’ through 74, and ‘Bay Farm Island’. On the first page is marked in pencil: Blue numbers for page, Red numbers for City Assesment Block. A few maps have street name updates or street layout corrections handdrawn in pencil.
