History of Object: Graduation class of the Alameda High School (now known as Haight School) in 1882. The class consisted of nine girls, one being Nellie Morrill (lower right hand corner) mother of the donor. The photo represents individual portraits of each girl, plus an exterior shot of the facade of the High School, combined on one photographic panel.

Note: Ms. Morrill married F. J. Russell (lawyer). She was one of three girls. One sister, Elizabeth, married a Varden of Union Street, and the other, Frank Jordan. The Morrill family owned a block of land on the south side of Santa Clara. Ave, bet Grand & Union Streets.
