Size: approximately L 19 x W 12 inches.
History of Object: Clipping of article about a sign found during renovations at 1350-1364 Park Street, which uncovered antique advertisements, included a sign for 20 Mule Team Borax Soap Chips, from the Pacific Coast Borax Company, which was located in the West End. The sign suggests the building once served as a grocery store. Perhaps between the time original owner Fritz Boehmer sold the building, and 1938, when it was remodeled and turned into a bank. The second page describes the history of Francis Marion "Borax" Smith, who founded the Pacific Coast Borax Company.
