Description: Child’s tea set consisting of 18 pieces (incomplete) in white porcelain with transfer designs of red roses & green leaves, accentuated with gold. German porcelain, unmarked. 6 plates, 6 cups, 4 saucers, creamer, tea pot & lid.

History of Object: China tea set of Roberta McDonell, born Alameda 1903 (daughter of Edward R. & Mary McDonell). The set was given to her by a neighbor she called Uncle Bob. The dishes are accompanied by a postcard which states they were a gift from Santa Claus. The donor is a descendant of a pioneer Bay Farm Island family.
