Size: L 11 x W 8 1/2” History of Object iconic book listing all buildings from the indicated period in Alameda (1905-1909) that had survived at the time of writing. George Gunn was curator of the Alameda Historical Museum for 50 years, with an additional few years when he was not the sole responsible person. The research was prompted by museum visitors who wanted to know more about their house. The information was painstakingly gathered by walks, searches through the early Assessment books, and other sources. The book was (is at time of this entry) available from the Alameda Museum Gift Store. Book B was originally owned by Adeline Cox and was held in George Gunn’s reference library at the museum.
