Interior upper lid has blue colored satin lining with the caption "G. Tiemann & Company". The receptacle section of box has a partitioned cove in red colored velvet. Interior also contains hand-written paper label in sepia colored ink. Instrument belonged to Dr. Baldwin. Size: L 3 1/4 W 1 3/4" History: Box or case that originally held a hypodermic syringe and needle owned by Dr. Sherman C. Baldwin, physician and surgeon.
