Accession No. 12.40.73 Subject Category: Household/ Furniture Date or Period: c. 1900s Object: Hall tree, with bench Description: Combination hall tree and bench in dark stain oak. Upper section includes an oval shaped frame of bevel plate glass. The mirror is flanked by cast iron coat and hat hooks, which have evidence of a gilded finish. Above the mirror is an applied carving, while below is an open panel with three lathe turnings. The box-like seat has a hinged panel, that when lifted exposes a storage area for shoes, etc. The bench has projected curved armrests for the seat. Size: D-16 x W-33 1/2 x H 80 inches.
