History of Object:
Documents found in the attic of City Hall. This folder holds correspondence about trees. Noteworthy is a letter from E.K. Taylor giving the history of the Eucalyptus on the corner of Central and Park, which was slated to be removed for widening of the street- with warning regarding the will of Dr. W. P. Gibbons regarding the tree. Also describes removal of Lombardy Poplars along Park Ave (to be replaced with Sycamores?). Responsibilities for the upkeep, or removal, of trees was with A.C. Benton, Department of Recreation Superintendent.
