History of Object:
Refoldered documents found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s. The contents are as follows:
A: from 'pouch' 140: A stable at 1622 Broadway. owned by Lena Hardwick, is declared a public nuisance, 1925.
B: from 'pouch' 141: Papers relating to peddler's licenses, in particular revoking a license from a convicted child molester, 1925-1930
C: from 'pouch' 142: Removal of Alameda's arks, from the West End near the Southern Pacific car barns; from the Estuary between the Park and Fruitvale bridges, and from the area south of the Bay Farm Island bridge.
Includes approved move of ark Brynhilda, owned by Johan Johansen, to 2611 Eagle Ave (address no longer exists). 1925-1930
D & E: from 'pouch' 143 and 144: Contracts with Hutchinson Co., Inc. of Oakland, to grade, curb, gutter and macadamize a stretch of Bishop Street, and a section of Adams Street. Contracts also list the parties whose property is involved in the project. 1925.
