Includes a 1929 blueprint map of the location of the yard, and 1932 photos of some of the equipment and objects in the yard, some of the photos with tall ship masts - likely Alaska Packers - in the background. 2. 1932-1933 request by P. Flatow & Son, Druggists, to rename Park Ave, denied since most respondents to a survey did not want this. 3. 1937 closing of the last remaining section of Harrison Avenue, along the tidal canal, between Pearl and Versailles. Other sections, between Pearl and Park, had already been closed previously, to facilitate the businesses along the canal (Loop Lumber etc). The remaining section came onto the old Fruitvale bridge at a strange angle, and was considered a traffic hazard. Also contains 1937 unrelated correspondence: a request from Loop Lumber Mill to fill in a trench and chuck holes along Broadway; a commendation for the Fire Department for their help in dealing with flooding at the foot of Walnut; and a resolution to designate certain streets as of major importance (sections of Pacific, Fourth, Lincoln, Fernside, Encinal, Central).
