Description: A kitchen chair with an ebonized finish. The back consists of a slightly bowed crest rail and slat attached to a lathe-turned support. It has a plank seat with a rolled front. The chair legs and rungs are secured with wire.

History of Object: A crude utilitarian kitchen chair that appears to originally have had a varnished finish and which was later painted. It was found in the basement of Meyers House.
