History of Object: This was a promotional contest by Alameda merchants in 1932 to stimulate business. The prize of a trip to Panama was awarded to Alice Gibson, who won the "Miss Prosperity" contest. Ms. Gibson later married a Mr. Durein, and their son is the donor of this material.
