No. 24.95.1 A, B Subject Category: Household, decorative Date or Period: c. 1920's - 1930's Object: Cream/sugar set Description: A cream and sugar set with hand painted blue colored flowers on a luster background. The handles and rim are in gold. Handles have a decorative rectangular hole at the top. Creamer is signed "T. Jorgensen" on bottom; both pieces are stamped ‘Made in Germany’, although in different colors, and the sugar bowl has numbers 7075 impressed in the bottom. Size: A: sugar bowl: diameter 4 1/2, H-3 1/2 (without lid), 4 with lid, ear to ear: W-6 inches; B: cream pitcher: diameter 3 1/2, H-3 (top handle), ear to spout: 5 inches. History of Object: A hand painted porcelain set by Thomas Jorgensen of Alameda. He would import blanks from Europe, and hand paint them and glaze the pieces.
