Object: Lectern stand
Description: Desk like lectern stand with shallow drawer with two pulls. Top of the lectern stand has a slanted top for reading with an area in the back portion of top divided into cubicles for papers, pencils, etc. The lectern is supported by four legs, three being supported by wooden braces, an additional wooden stretcher nailed between the side legs for added support. The lectern appears to be made of several types of wood, (top) mahogany, (legs) fir.
Size: table top-23x23½ inches; 44 inches floor to desk top, 22½ inches for table depth.
History of Object: Crudely make lectern stand from the Masonic Building, erected 1890. It was found while cleaning out the old building, following its sale by the Masonic Lodge, and rescued from being discarded by the donor.
