History: Publication entitled Adobe Trails issued by the Hayward Area Historical Society for winter 1984 and spring 1985. Publication has an article by John F. Due concerning the San Francisco and Alameda Railroad which was founded in 1864 by A.A. Cohen Alameda resident. The route being Alameda to Hayward. It was later used by the Central Pacific for the Trans Continental Railroad.
