On the top of the cover has been added by hand: No. 2. contains 3 and a half pages of entries, starting with Oct 26, 1933; the last entry was Sep 24, 1935. Size: L 3 1/2 " x W 5 1/2" History of Object: City Unemployment Relief Fund bank account. The Commercial National Bank was located in the 1890 Post Office Building from 1922 on (1350-1364 Park Street). The bank was one of many that printed national bank notes, from 9122 to 1935. This bank book, apparently No.2, was for an unemployment relief fund, presumably for City workers. The last entry date seems to coincide with the period of business operation of the bank.
