Description: a wooden four-legged chair, with circular molded saddle-seat, with the back formed by an angled wood plank, topped by a semi-circle of wood which forms both the top of the back and the arm rests. The back is placed opposite the front leg, resulting in an unusual center leg. Two wavy planks of wood form the side legs and arm rest supports. The chair is finished in dark mahogany stain. Under the seat is a piece of tape stating 'Grandma Follrath Jacamente, Ca 1880', and an original Manufacturer's label stating 'The Line', what appears to be a partial number, 104, and 'Washington M'f'g Co, Washington C.H., O'.
Size: Depth 19 x W-23 x H-30 inches.
History of Object: Tudor or Elizabethan revival chair, of the Follrath family, manufactured by the Washington Manufacturing Company of Washington Court House, Ohio. Donated in honor of this family: Elsie Follrath including her son Ben Follrath, grandson Bob Follrath, and great granddaughter Beverly Johnson (a former Mayor of Alameda).
