Description: A one-page flyer, printed both sides with black type on off-white paper, title 'July 4th Celebration'. Verso has lyrics of 4 patriotic melodies ('The Star Spangled Banner', 'America, the Beautiful', 'Battle Hymn of the Republic', 'America'. Printer's mark states 'Times-Star Alameda'.
Size: L 9 1/2 x W 6 inches.
History of Object: A program for the Independence Day celebration at Neptune Beach, on July 5, 1926, under auspices of the Alameda Veterans' Council, C. E. Mason chairing. Russell Franck performed as Pianist; Major C. L. Tilden gave an oration, Boy Scouts troop 9 and 13 helped in the flag salute, Ivy Ford and Company presented dances, and Walter H. Bundy directed singing, followed by Fireworks.
