Object: Hall tree
Description: Standing hall tree made of American walnut which appears to be finished in a dark varnish stain. A mirror surrounded by 8 hooks (turned wood) is mounted above a central drawer which is flanked by two bracket-like receptacles for umbrellas, etc. Large oblong cast iron drip pan (shell motif) rests in the base of stand.
Size: H-6 foot, 12 inches.
History of Object: Hall tree from the farmhouse of P. A. McDonell, Bay Farm Island. McDonell, a pioneer farmer, at one time owned quite a lot of the
land on the island.
