Size: L 16 x W 11 1/2 inches History of Object: Scrapbook composed by Carol Lum, a daughter of Dr. Lum, involved in the Board of Education. Lum school (closed) was named after him. The scrapbook is filled with clippings from local newspapers of the time, reflecting the life of a young, affluent, white woman in her years at U.C. (Cal.) Berkeley, on the brink of WWII. A few clippings mention Dr. Lum’s career. Most clippings relate to young women she knew from Alameda, as they get married and are involved in social and/or charity activities.
